The tourist season goes on despite the floods!

Ceske Svycarsko, 10. 8. 2010 – Following evaluation of the flood damage it is obvious that tourist season does not end in the Bohemian Switzerland. Despite destructive damage, especially in Hrensko municipality and in Kamenice Passes, vast majority of the national park territory remains well accessible especially for pedestrians.

95% of all sights are accesible and open (no restriction due to the flood of weekend 7 AUG 2010).

Updated limitations in the territory of the National Park Bohemian Switzerland:

  • Passing through Hrensko is currently impossible. The municipality is accessible based on permits issued by the Hrensko Municipality Office due to ongoing cleaning works.
  • For arrival by cars, directions from Chribska and Srbska Kamenice are recommended, however, roads may be damaged.
  • Consider public transport.
